Cabinets, Furniture, Woodworks/attached cushions

Question
I am shopping for a leather couch and they all seem to come with the back and bottom cushions attached and sewn to the couch.  Why is that?  I find it more versatile when you can remove the cushions, especially for sleeping.

Answer
Hi,  your observation is very good.  The reason is that with leather cushions it is not possible to have leather on both sides,  a large portion of the bottom or back side of the cushion has to be fabric to let the air breathe in and out as you sit or lean against the cushion.  Otherwise the cushion will burst like a balloon.  So since leather cushion can not be reversible anyway it is less costly to make the furniture with the cushions attached.

I hope this answers your question,  please don't hesitate to contact me if you have further questions or concerns.
