Question
Is there anything that can be done to update "blond" furniture? I have an upright piano that I would like to refinish or paint.

Nice to hear from you.
If the wood is nice in the blond piano, it can certainly be stripped, stained and a new finish applied, but its a huge job and not for the novice to attempt.
But you could certainly paint the piano.
Have you thought about colors? What about a pearl type finish in black?
This is also a job not for the faint hearted LOL, but very doable.

| Comment | Dear Eileen, Thank you for your reply. It was helpful to know that it was doable. I talked to a professional furniture refinisher and his response was "bring it in an we'll see!" It is not very easy to bring a piano "in". So, I appreciate your response. I am not sure what paint color I would choose, but I will keep the black pearl in mind if I decide to paint it.
