Question
Have an old maple breakfast room set and the chair joints are somewhat loose
and squeak.  Was told that a 'joint selling solvent' would provide temporary
relief.  Am unable to locate any specific product.  Can you help?

Answer
Hi Andrew
Sorry about the delay getting back to you but the site was down yesterday.
But help is on the way.
Here is what you need
http://www.leevalley.com/wood/page.aspx?c=1&cat=1,110&p=30261
And it will not be just temporary relief.
I have used this product hundreds of times to solve problems like yours

Expertise

Hi..I can answer most questions about the repairing, stripping and refinishing of all your old furniture and wood items(the things we call antiques)I can give advice about what to buy/avoid at auctions/flea markets. I do not give appraisals on antiques.

Experience

I have been refinishing antiques for the past 30yrs. While I have taken several courses over the years,I have found that "hands on" learning is the best teacher. Perhaps I can help you avoid some of the mistakes I made while learning.
