The putty knife and rubber mallet method works great. I used a nice, wide and sturdy putty knife. I also propped my trucks tire jack underneath to offer some vertical push. Using this method I circumvented the bottle of patience. The sink was there 40+ years and was out in less than 5 minutes. Use caution with the jack method.you are not trying to blow the countertop apart. I began in the front right and worked that side loose then moved to the left. Once that was done the back edge was not an issue. Hope this helps. I initially attacked the sink with a razor to free it and was spinning my wheels.
