Answer
Hi Ferne
Nice to hear from you.
Oh I am so sorry this has happened to your table.
The mayo often works if the damage is not severe.
Simply apply some Kraft Miracle Whip or Hellmans on the area and rub it in.
Also heard tell, (but never tried) pouring some regular cooking oil on the mark and placing a paper towel over that and leaving it a few hours.
I have also used cigarette ash mixed to a paste with cooking oil.
Then rub this into the spot.
If all the above fails they make a product called "Blush Eraser" that will work for sure but I fear it may not be available where you are but try your hardware store.
Kindest Regards
to a fellow Canadian (Ontario)

Expertise

Hi..I can answer most questions about the repairing, stripping and refinishing of all your old furniture and wood items(the things we call antiques)I can give advice about what to buy/avoid at auctions/flea markets. I do not give appraisals on antiques.

Experience

I have been refinishing antiques for the past 30yrs. While I have taken several courses over the years,I have found that "hands on" learning is the best teacher. Perhaps I can help you avoid some of the mistakes I made while learning.
