Cabinets, Furniture, Woodworks/loose bed posts

Question
Hi Jamie, thanks for your prompt response. I'm sorry I did not explain very well, I have submitted several similar questions to several web sites with no response, so I gave a brief description not expecting an answer. I am unable to send you a picture so lets see if we can't solve my problem without it. The post connects to the head & foot boards shortly above the mattress, there is a screw coming out of the post that screws into a hole that has a metal threaded piece in it, the screw does not seem stripped so I am assuming that the threaded piece inside the hole in the foot & head boards are. All four posts have this problem. I hope I have provided you with enough info, if not please be patient with me. And again thank you for your prompt response it sure was a pleasant surprise.

Answer
Hi Nicky,

I thought I said this in the last answer I sent to you, but perhaps you didn't understand. (Or maybe I didn't send it! Who knows?)

Anyway, my personal e-mail address is jamie@wooditis.com.  Please send me a photo of the problem. Actually, send a couple of photos. I'll try to help, I think I know what you're saying, but I want to be certain.

Meanwhile, try looking at Van Dyke's Restoration, a company which sells many parts for broken furniture. I once was repairing an antique bed and was stumped about where to find some parts. Van Dykes had the parts, they always seem to come through with obscure stuff. Their website is: www.vandykes.com.

I'll wait to get those images, and I think I'll be able to help you out. Doesn't seem that hard to solve.

Keep your fingers crossed!
