Cabinets, Furniture, Woodworks/painting knobs

Question
Hi Eileen - I just finished painting a wood dresser, including sanding, etc.  Now I'm down to the knobs.  I know they need to be sanded, but how on earth do I paint them so they aren't all streaky from the paintbrush?  Is there a process for dipping them?

Answer
Hi Rachel
Nice to hear from you.
I know exactly what you mean.
Been there LOL
Now I use a foam brush for knobs. Still a pain to do but fewer marks.
I guess you could dip them but I have never done that and think you would have a big mess.
Hope this helps
Regards
Eileen

Expertise

Hi..I can answer most questions about the repairing, stripping and refinishing of all your old furniture and wood items(the things we call antiques)I can give advice about what to buy/avoid at auctions/flea markets. I do not give appraisals on antiques.

Experience

I have been refinishing antiques for the past 30yrs. While I have taken several courses over the years,I have found that "hands on" learning is the best teacher. Perhaps I can help you avoid some of the mistakes I made while learning.
