Cabinets, Furniture, Woodworks/tv cabinet

Question
Hi.  We have a built in entertainment center in our living room.  The room is large and the cabinet, due to width, will only hold a 32" flat panel tv.  The cabinet width is 35.5".  We need about 1" more width to move up one tv size.  Is there anyway to shave off wood from the inside of the cabinet to get about 1/2" more on each side?

Answer
Hi Dedra,

I'll try to help, but I probably need to see a picture of the inside of the entertainment center. Send some JPEGs to me at jamie@wooditis.com, and I'll take a look and try to make a suggestion for you.

Also, it might be helpful if you give me your location. I might be able to recommend a woodworker in your area. I belong to an international group of woodworkers, and there might be someone in your city that I can recommend.

Will wait to get those pictures,
