Cable Industry/cable service

Question
can my cable service interfere with the nearby airports air traffic control?  A cable repairman stopped by  and wanted to enter my house claiming the cable was "leaking" and interfering with air traffic control

Answer
Yes he was right. I know it seems far fetched but in reality it true.  There is a certain frequency injected into the catv lines, that transmit to find bad spots in the cable or faulty connections in a aerial cable or inside a resident. The frequency used is close to airport freqs. We do the same thing at our company to keep the coax tight and to find leaks in our system. I hope this has helped answer your question.
