Subject: patch to coax adapter

Question
Is there such thing as coax adapter to watch cable TV from a blue 5e patch internet wall socket?  If so where can I find? Thank you, Chris

Answer
To my knowledge there is not an adapter to allow you to use the 5e jack to coaxial. I believe you are talking about a cat 5, 8 pin female jack. There is probably equipment on the market to use these jacks for this purpose, but i have not seen one. Knowing how CATV signal works, it probably is not possible to have a clear picture using cat 5 wiring with a catv adapter. There is phone companies that now offer video thru there twisted pair wiring, but not seen the equipment they use for video. I hope this will help!
