Cactus/can't find the name of a blooming cactus?

Question
We purchased a plant this summer and can not identify what it is. It has thorns/barbs on its stem like a cactus, yet it has leaves that protrude off the stem, very much like a succulent. It has made a ton of bi-lobed red/pink blooms in sets of two. Then interestingly 2 more blooms will come from the center of each flower---I have seen up to 5 stacked up. Blooms on top of blooms. I'm not sure if it is a cactus or succulent. They seem really heat hardy and drought tollerant. Any suggestions?

If your cacti resembles the cactus in the photo I attached, It is a Gymnocalycium mihanovichii, commonly known as moon cactus, ruby ball, or chin cactus. Research some of these names to see if one of them is your cactus. Be aware that not all cacti from the same species look the same. If it isn't what you are looking for, please resend me the question with a photo attached, so I will do further searching.
