Question
Hi - I hope you can help me - I have a very healthy aloe plant on the dining room table..within 1 week it has developed black spots. The only think that i can think of is that the AC is running so much that it may be getting those spots from the AC.. Any suggestions?  What if i cut the plant to the remove the black spots will it re-grow - what should i do.
Thanks for helping me out.

Answer
Dear Cher,

Generally, spots are caused by some type of sucking insect that will leave those spots behind. As with any plant, if it is directly in the line with the air conditioning vent, that can create problems.

Also, Aloes, like all succulents do not make great house plants because of the amount of light they require. Depending on how long it has been in your dining room, that could also be a problem. If you can send a picture of the plant, I may be able to give you a better idea of the problem.

Sorry I could not give you a better answer.
