Question
HI, I wonder if you could help me. I have had an Aloe plant for around a year now, it sat on my kitchen window sill in good light but not direct sun. It became so over crowded in it's little pot I re-potted it splitting it into 3 pots. It had lots of new shoots. Since re-potting all the leaves have become more reddish in colour and a little floppy !It just doesn't look as healthy. I have also moved 2 into my conservatory in full sun was this wrong? I hope you can help as I don't want to loose them.
Thanks Marisa.

Answer
Marisa,

You are probably dealing with a few issues: shock, sunburn, and over watering. Direct sun is not good if the plant has not been in it before, they will sunburn. Also, when a plant is transplanted, it will go into shock. It is best in the case of succulent plants to cut back on the watering, so they do not rot. Move them into some semi shaded area, use a product called "Superthrive" in the water and that may help. Hopefully they will survive, good luck!

Sincerely,

Greg
