I have had an aloe vera plant for about six months, and now there is tiny little black bugs flying around the appartment.  They seem to be coming from the plant.  What are they and how can I get rid of them?

Those are fungus gnats and are very difficult to get rid of. I know cause I have them as well (a side affect of having house plants). Anyway, this website has some treatment suggestions: http://www.pestproducts.com/fungusgnat.htm
