Question
I have recently bought a cactus which has about 5 spots on it but really liked it, so went along with it. Here are the pictures of it:

Should that worry me? Thanks a lot for your help.

Answer
Jan,

Spots like that are usually caused by damage to the plant, by an insect or some other source. Judging from the spines on your plant, it may be damage from being next to the same plants (or something with long spines) at the nursery. Just make sure your not over watering. If they keep appearing, they may be due to insect damage which is very difficult to prevent. Beautiful plant though, great choice!

Sincerely,

Greg
