Question
Any guesses?  What is this?
I'm posting in "cactuss" because some palms and cactusses  have simular traits.

Description:
Picture a porcupine with long [2-3ft] green spikes all curled in a ball on top of a skinny tree trunk.
any guesses would be apreciated.

Answer
Dear Mike,

Well it doesn't sound like a cactus or a palm tree. It sounds more like an Aloe (because of the smooth trunk) or more likely it is some type of yucca. If the leaves are thin, rough or very rigid, it is most likely a yucca. If the leaves are fleshy and pliable, then it is most likely a aloe. Thats about the best I can do, hope this helps.

Sincerely,

Greg
