Cactus/Cactus with spiders

Question
Hello Greg,

I recently purchased a large cactus for my work desk. Since then, I have gotten some nasty spider bites. I think they've come from the plant, but I'm not sure. There is some faint webbing on the plant. Will I need to get rid of him, or is there a treatment I can use to make the plant spider free? He's lovely and it would be great to keep him.

Thanks!

Answer
Dear Jennifer,

Your cactus may have spider mites. Check out this website for control of spider mites:

However, I would recommend against chemicals unless you have no other option. Hope this helps!

Sincerely,

Greg
