Question
Recently obtained a mature Christmas cactus; while on the shaded porch the cactus leaves became spotted brown.  Just brought indoors.  What do I need to do to maintain it's health?

Answer
Victor,

More than likely, you plant was attacked by an insect that is similar to a mosquito in that it sucks the juice out of plants, but in cacti it leaves a brown spot behind. There isn't a whole lot you can do, except keep the plant indoors. Just in case, you can try a product called "Superthrive". It is one of the best fertilizers and shock preventers their is and should help your plant recover. However, the spots will always be there unfortunately.

Sincerely,

Greg
