Cactus/Identification and care

Question
Hi. My mom brought me back a cactus from California. I've had it about a month. It seems like its growing very rapidly, and almost seems crowded now. I dont know what kind they are (there are 3 different ones in the pot, I think) and I don't know anything about taking care of it or repotting. I was told to give it 1 tbsp of water a month and thats it. I will gladly take a picture for you to identify, but I'm not sure how to go about getting the picture to you.

Thank you so much for your time. You really seem to know what you're talking about so I hope you can help me. :)

Answer
Dear Rachel,

Send the photo to gregandkat@msn.com and I will try to identify the plants. Thanks!

Also, a teaspoon of water is not enough. Cactus and succulents in general will need to be watered well, but the soil must dry out between waterings.

Sincerely,

Greg
