Cactus/Is it a Jade plant I have??

Question
Hello Jeff!

Thanks in advance for helping me with my question! I love plants, but unfortunately was not blessed with a green thumb...AT ALL!

Last week I purchased a very small potted indoor plant. The retailer told me it was a Jade plant that required very little care. She told me not to overwater it.

The leaves look like a jade, but instead of Dark and shiny, the leaves are a soft green and fuzzy. (I can take a picture and email it if you like).

Already I'm seeing that many of the the pretty green leaves are turning yellow/brown.

What am I doing wrong? Is it actually a Jade plant that I have?

Please help!

Answer
Dear Karen,

I didn't have a green thumb either, but that was B.S. (before succulents). Yes, please send me a picture (to my work account, por favor - my address there is jharris@seawestwindpower.com). I'd be able to answer your question much better if I know for certain what your plant is.

Kind regards,

Jeff
