I have a Lophocereus cactus it now 18 feet tall !! I can not bring it in the house no more it is to tall , so what do I do it is in a huge pot out side I live in Suffolk VA. I don't what it to die getting to cold I have had it 7 years it use to sit in my kitchen window ! I am so proud of it and do not what to lose it Help !!! Vickie

Answer
Vickie,

The only thing you can do is to cut it back (if you want to keep it). The only other option would be to donate it to a local botanical garden. Even if you cut it back, it will continue to grow, adding weight. Eventually you won't be able to move it at all. If you want advice on making cuttings, please ask a follow up question. Thanks.

Sincerely,

Greg
