Hello,

I have a succulent plant, I do not know yet what type it is but it has developed rust spots on it. Can you tell me what causes this and how do I treat it?

Dear Mary,

Rust is a fungus. I have a plant or two with that affliction, but I live in a very dry area, so excess moisture is not the culprit. However, the following website has some treatment options. For a cactus, follow step 8, unless you can easily remove the affected parts.
