Question
I have a saguaro Catus that is decaying from the bottom of the catus is their any thing I can do to save it.

Answer
Jon,

Unfortunately not. The reason is that a saguaro's main stem is too thick (and heavy) to be removed safely. Because of how cacti grow, rot spreads very quickly. It is sometimes possible to root an arm if it isn't damaged in any way. Again, because a saguaro's arms are at least 6 to 8 feet above the ground (and very heavy), that it is not safe to remove them, unless you have it removed professionally. Sorry for the bad news.

Sincerely,

Greg
