About 3 months ago, I transplanted some of my grandmother's Hen and Chicks.  They were outside of her house, and had been there for years.  They seemed to be doing fine, and have lots of "chicks" growing.  But I noticed in the last couple of weeks that some of the bottom leaves are turning yellow, and I can pull them off easily. They are planted outside in full sun, but it's been over 100 degrees for the past week. Is it too hot for them? I really want to save them because my grandma is now deceased.  Thank you for your help! :)

Hens & chicks are generally cool area plants, but will take some heat for a short time. Leaf die off is normal as the plant grows. If they are growning on or associated with rocks, the reflected heat may have damaged the lower leaves. As long as the stem isn't damaged, they should be fine. Don't water too much, just make sure the soil isn't too dry for too long..but do let it dry between waterings.
