Question
Hi Greg, How dry should I allow my Succulents to get? The soil is all cracked up, as I am afraid to overwater. What would be a good rule of thumb? I have a fear of giving them more water than they need. Is there a sign that I should look for, that will let me know they need water? Thanks, Vee

Answer
Vee,

As long as the soil feels dry, your OK. Then soak the soil and let dry out. People get into trouble when they let the soil dry out, then give a teaspoon of water. When you don't water enough, the roots die then the plant dies from lack of water even though it gets watered. Hope this helps.

Sincerely,

Greg
