Question
Recently had 3 cactuses from Walmart purchased for me.  One short-has grown to about 2inches now.  One is about 4inches tall and the third is short with a red flower on top.  Well all three are growing nicely in my Western New York home.  But i need to transplant them into a bigger pot.  Would like to know about type of soil to use; can they be put in on pot.  I have this ceramic dish type pot I would like to use.  Same type pot as they are in now. I have no names for them either.  If you need any more information please contact me.  But they are in most walmarts around here.

Answer
Janine,

You can use the ceramic dish. Get some "cactus mix" type soil and use that. I would wait until about April to do the transplanting. Once you do, water them thoroughly and then water only when the soil is dry. Hope this helps.

Sincerely,

Greg
