Cactus/Yellowing Cactus

Question
Happy Easter Greg,
Two of my large cactus have began to yellow, one of them in a very major way. What has happened and how can I combat the disorder?

Answer
Dear Rex,

Generally cactus will yellow for the same reasons as other plants will. It would be helpful if you either knew the name of the plant or could send me a photo. If thats not possible, it could be either some sort of root problem or a lack of nitrogen. Try fertilizing the plant with a general fertilizer at 1/2 strength.

You should see a difference withing a few weeks. If not, then there maybe something else happening. Again, if you have any pictures or know the name of the plant, let me know.

Sincerely,

Greg
