Question
Greg,
We transplanted some large Yucca plants in the morning and be evening the fanned out and laid down.  Should we have tied them up?  If so is it too late to do it now, as it has been several days since we planted and they still are laying down.  If not, will they eventially perk up? Thanks for any help,  Bob

Answer
Dear Bob,

They may, but only after they come out of "transplant shock" and take root. Do not water too much, but make sure the soil doesn't completely dry out. Also, there is a product called "Superthrive" that works particularly well with Yucca's.

Without it, I have had only about a 50% survival rate. And yes you can tie them up, just make sure you don't tie them too tightly. Good Luck!

Sincerely,

Greg
