Question
can you grow aloe vera in the ground.

Answer
Debbie,

Yes you can, it just depends where you live. Aloe vera will take some cold, but not below 32 degrees. If you live somewhere that gets colder than that in the winter, it will be best to leave the plant in a pot. Otherwise, plant it!

Sincerely,

Greg
