Question
I live in ireland. My sister brought a aloe vera plant home the last day and i transplanted a few of them are you ment to water them and what kind of soil do you need.Im stuck. do you need dry soil or wet soil how often do you water it.

Thanks a million

james

Answer
Dear James,

Aloes are like any other succulent plants in that it is better to keep the soil on the dry side. Water when the soil is dry and you should be OK. Use a "cactus mix" type of soil that lets water drain through it easily, that will help keep the plant from getting too much water.

It will do best in very bright (but not direct) sunlight. Hope this helps!

Sincerely,

Greg
