Cactus/aloe vera plants outdoors

Question
What started as a few aloe plants around my tank has spread into a huge area of aloe vera plants that I need to eradicate completely.  Their prickly nature and tendency to break off is thwarting my efforts. Can I spray them with something to kill them?  I notice that the ones I have thrown aside seem to be thriving even out of the ground!

Answer
Estelle,

I am not aware of anything that will kill them. But if they dry up and die, the get even more prickly. The most effective way to get rid of them would be to hire someone to come take them out. That way you won't have to deal with the mess. Hope this helps.

Sincerely,

Greg
