Question
I recently had landscaping done and had these two added to my yard 2 months ago. I live in Phoenix.  They seemed to initially yellowing from th top but seems pronounced from the bottom now.  They have been watered 2x 3 weeks apart last watering about 30 days ago.  Should I be concerned or is it just sunburn? temps 110 in shade but the cactus are in full sun.

Answer
Greg,

I also live in the Phoenix area, so I am familiar with the weather. Golden barrel and Mexican fence post are both not very well suited to our extreme heat. They both benefit from some afternoon shade. If it is sunburn, you'll want to shade them as soon as you can. If they are very damaged, you may want to get your landscaper to replace the plants, as they should know to place them with the south side of the plant facing south. Good luck. Hope this helps.

Sincerely,

Greg
