Question
i have various aloes growing outside, sandy soil, getting moderate water........my tree aloes have black spots on the leaves i have used fugi stuff, organic insect stuff.....but still these spots appear......is it a fungi or an insect that causes this? what van i do?

Answer
Gillian,

Most likely it is an insect. There are some insecticides that may work, however some can burn you plants. There are also systemic insecticides that may be more effective but take longer to work. Follow the directions in the following link, it should be effective against most insects. Hope this helps.
