Cactus/de-thorning cactus for trade show

Question
Will clipping the sharp thorns from a cactus so that it can be used as the floral arrangement in a small booth at a trade show kill the cactus?  What about clipping the thorns from a cactus-like plant that 'bleeds' white milk when you clip the thorn?  Thank you!

Answer
Laura,

I apologize for the delay in answering you, I have been having computer issues. On the cactus, you can clip the tips off the spines without damaging the plant. As far as the Euphorbia goes, it will really make the plant look bad. Not to mention, you don't want to get the white sap on you, as it is poisonous. Hope this helps.

Sincerely,

Greg
