Question
What are some types of low light cactus?  Thanks a lot, Robbie

Answer
Dear Robbie,

I apologize for the delay in responding. I am having trouble retrieving my questions. As far as low light cactus, there are only a few. Most are considered “jungle cacti” and most commonly known as Christmas cactus. These particular plants will grow in relatively low light, but may not flower well if kept in low light indefinitely.

There are also a number of very small and difficult to care for cacti that can grow in lower light levels, but are hard to find and are very expensive. As far as ease of care goes, stick with the “Christmas cactus” varieties. Here are a couple of names to look for: Schlumbergera and Epiphyllum.

Sincerely,

Greg
