Question
My cactus seems to have stopped growing. It is in full sunlight and is watered every week. It also has a fuzzy-like residue on it. I don't want it to die, so what should I do?

Answer
Dear Mike,

Cactus don't need to be watered that often unless you have your plants outside, in direct sunlight, daytime temps in excess of 100 degrees, and no rain. If you are in someplace other than Phoenix AZ (like I am), then probably once a month would be more appropriate.

I'm not sure what the fuzzy residue might be, but if you would like to send me a picture to: gregandkat@msn.com I will try to identify it for you.

Sincerely,

Greg
