Cactus/hens and chicks closing

Question
I am in Georgia and recently my hens and chicks have completely closed up--and are yellowing.  What happened?  I changed nothing about my care for them.  Help!  Can they be saved?

Answer
Kathy,

Hens & chicks are not one of the plants I have a lot of experience with. However, usually when a plant changes like that, there may be a good reason. Usually it's because of an insect problem or root damage. Please check out the following web page for some additional information.

Based on what I read, did yours flower? if so, that could also be the reason. Please let me know if you need any additional resources. Sorry I could not be of more help.

Sincerely,

Greg
