Cactus/indoor aloe vera

Question
Hi, I just recived my first aloe vera plant from my friend as a birthday gift and me and my friend no nothing about it. But after reading a little about it we realised that it likes a warm climate. But we want it to be totally indoors, but we have air conditioning, that gets pretty cold and we cant turn it down, will that affect the aloe vera?

Answer
Julia,

Actually the lack of light will affect it more than the temperature. It will need at least 15 hours per day of strong indirect light or light from a grow lamp. What you have to watch, is the watering. Make sure the soil is dry before you water. If the soil stays wet, the plant will rot. Hope this helps.

Sincerely,

Greg
