Question
I have two yucca elephantiasis and wish to break some  bunches off and re-pot, so far they just sit in the pot doing nothing going yellow from the base up.  What am I doing wrong

Answer
Dear Eileen,

Your probably doing nothing wrong. In my experience Yucca's can be difficult to root even when you are transplanting one that has roots! Try this: keep them out of direct sunlight, use a rooting hormone gel, and add Superthrive to the water when you water.

You might also want to wait until spring to do any more. Generally speaking, cuttings will root better when the plant is actively growing.

Hope this helps.
