Question
help. I am in distress. I have a large jade plant, that I have had for quite sometime. Over the last couple of months at least 10 leaves a day are dropping off it. And now 2 to 3 inch pieces of stem have started falling off. The stems and leaves feel strong, bot a gentle shake of the stand will result in pieces falling off. I do not see any mold, But some of the falling pieces do look almost like they have glitter on them. Please help me as I am heartsick over this. thank you

Answer
Dear Dawn,

Generally speaking plants lose their leaves regularly. If the leaves are falling off from the bottom up, there may be some root damage. If the leaves are falling off from the top down, it is most likely rot of some kind. If you can send me some photos, I may be able to give you a better answer. My email address is gregandkat@msn.com.

Thanks!
