my husband bought me three cute little cacti on the day that he proposed to me a little over a year ago... hes overseas right now with the military and i think i killed them!!! i feel terrible!!! i left the cacti outside all summer and they grew beautifully... unfortunately i forgot to bring them in when it got cold and rained a whole lot for a few days :(  the once green cactus are now yellow and mushy... are they dead?? they look dead... help!

Dear Sunny,

Unfortunately, it sounds like they are on their way to being dead. There is nothing worse for a cactus than cold and damp. I hate to sound sneaky, but if you have a picture of the plants, I can identify them and you can then replace them. Just an idea. Sorry for the bad news.

And, thank you husband for what he is doing and thank you for supporting him!
