Cactus/sunburn cactus from flood light

Question
Dear Greg,
I have recently moved from the San Diego area and moved to north Texas. i took my 12 foot cactus with me. We have been in Texas for about 8 months and the cactus is doing great. However, we have a frost and my husband built a geen house around it. We put two flood lights at the bottom for heat(it works great). I moved the flood light and now the cactus has a light brown color at one of the arms. Is it okay? I love my cactus. it is alittle piece of home.
Sincerely,
Tina Ansley

Answer
Tina,

If you can send me a picture of the damage, I should be able to advise you. Send a picture to gregandkat@msn.com .
It still could be frost damage or even sunburn. Is the side of the plant that was facing south in San Diego facing south in Texas? If not, that could be the issue. Send me a picture if you can, thanks.

Sincerely,

Greg
