I live on Vancouver Island just wanted to know if I need to cover my yucca plants from the snow and with what        thanx

That depends on the type of Yucca. Some are hardy and some are not. Chance are this if you purchased it there, it should survive. I have also heard that wrapping the trunk in burlap can help. Check out the following webpage for more info.
