Question
I have a yucca in a pot (Atlanta, GA).  It has summered outside and done very well. Now, it's November and I am wondering if I can leave it outside for the winter.  When I bought it, it was grouped with "indoor plants", but I would prefer to leave it outdoors, if I can, because of space requirements. What is your opinion?  Thank you very much. I would appreciate an answer as soon as possible because we could get our first frost very soon.

Answer
Hello again, Liz,

As opposed to aloes, most Yuccas are frost/freeze resistant - the only thing I can think of that might endanger it is if it's a more-sensitive-to-cold/wet-conditions species. If you don't allow it to get too cold/wet and it's in porous soil, your plant is probably will be OK.

Jeff 'I don't mucka with the Yuccas' Inn fact, I haven't a one.=, but The Joshua Tree is a great album
