---------- FOLLOW-UP ----------

QUESTION: In response to your question about what makes me think the control module is bad is that I have replaced the distributor cap and rotor and also the ignition coil since there was no spark at the plugs.  I admit I am a novice at electronic ignition troubleshooting.  Is there a procedure to check the control module before replacing.

Answer
Did you test the PICK-UP coil ?.

BEFORE you tore things apart, IS or HAD the CHECK ENGINE light on the dash ever illuminated when you were driving the car ?.

The ignition control module is located inside of the distributor. I can provide PICTURES and test procedures if you E-mail me at: onlineautohelp@msn.com
