Question
Hi Mr. Joy,
My question is I just bought a 1999 Cadillac Seville STS and I wanted to hook up some subs and a amp.  I've heard that I can't take out the stock cd player because it has connection's with other electrical components within the car.  I'm going to professional have it done but seeing your experience with Cadillac's I would like to see what you can give me for options and opinions.  The last thing I want to do is make more of a problem with the car I just bought.  The help is much appreciated.

Thank You

Answer
Have a professional facility install it. As there is a 5 volt, 16 volt and a 12 volt power wires that go into the original radio to illuminate the radio display and your other displays and if you do it wrong you can fry the computers and or the instrument cluster.
