---------- FOLLOW-UP ----------

QUESTION: The year = 1991
The model = Deville
Engine size 4.9L

Answer
E91 = faulty neutral starter safety switch on the transmission.

E95 = Is NOT a code.

E96 = Torque converter overstress.

Are these codes displaying as E or EE codes ?.

What you need to do is CLEAR (erase the codes and see which ones reappear as either E or EE codes.

To clear the codes.

run the diagnostics and when you see .7.0,  Simultaneously push and hold the OFF and HI buttons until you see E.0.0 and release the buttons.

Drve the car if possible or start the engine if possible or wait 2 minutes and turn ON the ignition and recheck for codes and see if they are E or EE codes.
