Cadillac/best engine swap

Both the HT4100 and the THM 200 4R trans need to be replaced. Neither where very good. I too had an HT4100. I bought a TBI 350 from a early 90's pickup. It is a pretty easy swap. you need to purchase a harness and TBI computer from Howell engine development. I kept the 200 4R tranny as well but had it rebuilt by Bowtie overdrives. runs great. you do lose the mpg feature from the caddy computer but at least you have a solid engine.

Not exactly true.  I put a 4.1 where a 4.5 used to be.  I put in a1987 4.1 in a 1988 4.5 coupe deville.  The computers work for the 4.1 or 4.5 motors.  works on mine will work for you too.  I simply used everything from the 4.5 motor so all components plugged in.  simple
