Question I know please dont laugh, I got suckerd like many others. Just wandering how to replace the heater control valve on this 1998 catera. I know that it is at the rear of the engine all the way on the firewall. how do i go about replacing the part any information would be helpful. Thanx for your time.
Answer Hi Jason, It's not a very fun job and your right not alot of room to work. I don't remember what I did and don't have access to a shop manual but remember useing a swivel socket on a long extension and a cotter key puller to get in between the hose and the valve to break the seal. Just be patient and having a cold engine helps. BTW I think the Catera is a good car and would drive one if they weren't so expensive.Bill
