Question My car is equipped with the DVD based navigation system. A DVD can be played and viewed in PARK. When the car is switched out of park and into any gear the screen cuts out the picture (as a safety feature) but the DVD still plays sound. Is there a way to disable the screen from cutting out so that the picture can be viewed when the car is in gear?
Answer Hi Steve, I don't have access to any of the sevice info for 2002 so I don't know how the screen knows when the car is out of park. However my dad has an '04 Camry and its screen stays on all the time so maybe if you contacted Cadillac they have a service bulletin out that would allow the screen to be viewed in any gear.
